Van Huisstede (29) kwam in het verleden ook al uit voor FIQAS/Aalsmeer, maar verruilde de bloemhoofdstad in 2009 voor het Drentse Hurry Up. Daar stond hij tot de zomer van 2015 onder de lat. Absoluut hoogtepunt voor Van Huisstede bij Hurry Up was het winnen van de beker in 2011.
