De Oranje handbalheren spelen hun beslissende kwalificatieduel tegen Zwitserland in de Fitland XL in Sittard. De vorige wedstrijd tegen Luxemburg speelde men in het Topsportcentrum in Almere. Nederland speelt tegen Zwitserland om een plaats in de WK-play off in juni. Oranje won zijn eerste twee wedstrijden van Luxemburg en moet nu Zwitserland over twee wedstrijden de baas zijn om zich te plaatsen voor de play-offs. In die play-offs zal men uitkomen tegen een deelnemer van het aankomende EK in Frankrijk.

Nederland-Zwitserland zal gespeeld worden op zondag 17 januari om 14.00 uur in Sittard. Kaarten zijn te bestellen via het Nederlands Handbal Verbond.
