Hoofdklasse-kampioen Unitas uit Rolde roert zich flink op de transfermarkt. De kersverse tweede divisionist kan de derde oud-eredivisiespeler aan de selectie van het nieuwe zaalseizoen toevoegen: Justin Semmelink.
Semmelink doorliep de gehele jeugdopleiding van E&O. In 2013 debuteerde de pijlsnelle hoekspeler in de eredivisie namens de Emmenaren. Na een jaartje rust kiest de 22-jarige speler voor een terugkeer op de handbalvelden bij de kampioen uit Noord-Drenthe. Met één gelijkspel en negentien overwinningen werd Unitas, in 2013 nog actief in de eerste divisie, glansrijk kampioen van de Hoofdklasse A.
Trainingsintensiteit omhoog
De linkerhoek is de derde versterking voor het team van trainersduo Henk Smeenge/Kay Hardam. Een kleine maand geleden werd bekend dat Roelof Smeenge (E&O) en Jim Macro (voormalig Hurry-Up) in het nieuwe seizoen in het rood Unitas te bewonderen zijn. Ook maakte Henk Smeenge bekend dat de trainingsintensiteit bij de fanatieke club omhoog gaat.
