De handballers van TTL Red-Rag/Tachos pakten zaterdagavond twee belangrijke punten in de wedstrijd tegen concurrent Houten: 31-29. Tachos heeft nu vier punten voorsprong op Houten en doet hiermee goede zaken in de strijd om een ticket voor de kampioenspoule.
Tachos sloeg voor rust al een gaatje en ging met vier doelpunten verschil rusten: 17-13.
In de tweede helft veranderde het spelbeeld iets. Houten kwam langzaam terug in de wedstrijd en de ploeg van trainer Hans van Dijk kwam zelfs terug tot één doelpunt verschil: 25-24. Toen was echter weer het woord aan Tachos, dat onder meer door toedoen van Arjan Stuiver uitliept naar 29-25 en 30-27. Na de rode kaart voor Job Reumer kwam Houten nog wel iets terug, maar Stuiver gooide de wedstrijd daarna definitief in het slot. In de laatste minuten speelde Tachos de wedstrijd uit sleepte twee belangrijke punten binnen.
