AMSTERDAM – De sfeer zit er goed in bij de handbalsters van VOC. Na een iets wat rommelig verlopen eerste seizoenshelft is het plezier duidelijk teruggekeerd in het Amsterdamse kamp. “Er is duidelijkheid binnen de groep gekomen, een ieder weet wat zij moet doen. Dat is het verschil met de laatste maanden van 2015” liet Rachel Piekhaar (25) weten tijdens een interview met de Telegraaf.

Naar haar zeggen is er met de komst van Bert Bouwer wel eenheid gekomen binnen de groep; “Hij zorgt dat iedereen aan zijn trekken komt, er structuur binnen het team is en er goed wordt gerouleerd.”
Onder leiding van Bouwer won VOC al haar wedstrijden, waaronder de twee toppers tegen Dalfsen en Quintus. Bovendien wordt er ook nog eens goed gehandbald. Dat was ook afgelopen weekend tegen V&L weer te zien. VOC was de formatie uit Zuid – Limburg op alle fronten de baas. Na een 21 – 8 ruststand werd V&L uiteindelijk met 35 – 19 terug naar huis gestuurd.
