De handballers van Targos Bevo 2 zijn de grote winnaar van het afgelopen weekend in de eerste divisie. De ploeg van Jeroen Baats liet er zaterdagavond tegen APai/Aristos geen onduidelijkheid over bestaan wie de betere ploeg was. Alleen het eerste kwartier kon de thuisploeg enigszins in het spoor blijven van BEVO. De rest van de wedstrijd waren de Noord – Limburgers oppermachtig: 17 – 34.
“Dit was onze slechtste wedstrijd van het seizoen. Een totale offday. We kwamen er aanvallend gewoon niet door- of overheen en in de dekking hadden we geen grip op hun schutters. Het was vandaag gewoon de dwergen tegen de reuzen. Op de eindstand valt dan ook niks aan te merken. Bevo was echt beter.” Aldus Aristos-aanvoerder Reinder Woudstra.
Bevo heeft door de overwinning zijn positie op de ranglijst verstevigd. De voorsprong op APai/Aristos en Koornneef/Quintus 2 bedraagt nu vier punten en de voorsprong op JMS Hurry Up 2 vijf punten.
