Er was weinig sfeer en wij waren blijkbaar niet bij machten het thuisvoordeel uit te buiten” vertelt Myron Smits, keeper van het tweede team en een van de initiatiefnemer van de Bevo Tifosi. “De vrijdag na het verlies gooide iemand in de groepsapp van Heren 2 of we zaterdag tegen Volendam niet voor wat meer sfeer konden gaan zorgen. Iedereen was direct enthousiast zo stonden we daar in eens op zaterdagavond met een mannetje of 10. Iemand kwam toen op het idee om ons de ‘Bevo Tifosi’ te noemen. Tifosi betekent fans in het Italiaans. Onder die naam gaan we voortaan lekker herrie maken en onze ploeg aanmoedigen.”
