De Jong Oranjedames starten vandaag de voorbereiding op het WK, dat in juli gehouden wordt in Rusland. De 16-koppige selectie oefent vanmiddag op Papendal tegen Bundesliga-club Leverkusen.
Van de geselecteerde dames zijn Anouk Nieuwenweg, Tessa van Zijl en kersverse kampioenen Larissa Nusser en Tess van Buren de bekendste namen. In totaal levert Quintus, op een derde plaats geëindigd in de competitie, zes speelsters. Daarmee is de ploeg uit Kwintsheul hofleverancier.

Op 9 juni gaat Jong Oranje op oefentrip naar de Oosterburen. Het TuS Metzingen van landgenoten Jankovic, Vollebregt en Michielsen is twee keer de oefenpartner.
