Hoewel de kaartverkoop voor het Olympisch Kwalificatie Toernooi (OKT) nog niet is gestart, lijkt er wel al een run te zijn ontstaan op hotelkamers in de speelstad Metz. Dat blijkt uit het aantal reserveringen dat de afgelopen dagen is gedaan via de website Booking.com.
Momenteel is al ruim 41% van de beschikbare kamers in Metz gereserveerd in het weekend van 18 t/m 20 maart. Ter vergelijking; in de weekend daarvoor (11 t/m 13 maart) is dat maar 29%.
De verwachting is dat een hoop Nederlanders het betreffende weekend zullen afreizen naar Frankrijk om Oranje aan te moedigen. Tijdens het WK in Denemarken kon Nederland ook al rekenen op veel support. Naar schatting werd de finale tegen Noorwegen door zo’n 3000 Nederlanders bijgewoond.

Vrijdag 18 maart, 20.00 uur Frankrijk-Nederland
Zaterdag 19 maart, 19.00 uur Frankrijk-Tunesië
Zondag 20 maart, 15.15 uur Tunesië-Nederland
