Voor de 21-jarige Heijnen, die twee A-interlands speelde, betekent het hoogstwaarschijnlijk dat zijn seizoen voorbij is. Voor de OCI-Lions is het ook een flinke aderlating, aangezien dit weekend de groepsfase van de EHF-Cup begint en de club een zwaar programma voor de boeg heeft.
