Geen internationals
Na zeventien gespeelde wedstrijden staat de ploeg uit fjordstad Bergen op een vijfde plaats in de zogeheten Grundigligaen: de eredivisie van Noorwegen. Eind december verloor Fyllingen Bergen de Cupfinale van Bodø, waardoor het zich plaatste voor de Challenge Cup. Het team is een mix van Noorse en Zweedse spelers, waartussen geen internationals zitten die het afgelopen EK in Polen in actie kwamen.
De winnaar van de tweeluik treft in de halve finale Sint-Petersburg HC of het Portugese S.L. Benfica.
